Four Wakefield Home-town Gigs Announced August 10, 2018
After touring the country, The Bleeding Obvious is returning to Wakefield for four very different home-town gigs.
I always love playing Wakefield - I haven't been in the area since the Spectrum EP launch last May so it's long overdue for a trip back to the mothership.
Don't forget, you can always find my latest gig listings on the website and I hope to see you at one of the shows!
Sunday 12 August: Wakefield Pride at The Rainbow
I'm really pleased to be performing at Wakefield Pride on the main stage early afternoon. Owing to the nature of the event the time may slip a little (sorry!) but expect some well-known songs and at least one new one. It's on Sun Lane (next to The Rainbow pub and the swimming pool), grab a drink in the sunlight - mine's a pint - and be fabulous!
1:15pm, free entry, no age limits.

Wednesday 29 August: Truth Be Told at Brews Bites & Books
I'm the musical guest at Brews Bites & Books (Northgate) as part of the Truth Be Told spoken word night (Facebook details). Featuring fab work from Wakefield's wordsmiths you can expect three new original songs from me which will never have been performed before.
6pm start, PAYF entry on the door.

Monday 12 November: Monochrome at Jolly Boys Tap
I'm headlining my talented friend Ric Neale's Monochrome evening at Jolly Boys Tap (Northgate) - a really special show involving no electronics, no gizmos, no covers - just me, an upright piano and some original songs, as naked as it gets.
7:30pm start (ish), PAYF entry on the door.

Saturday 22 December: Christmas Party at The Red Shed
Finally, the Bleeding Obvious Christmas Party is back by popular demand at The Red Shed (Wakefield Labour Club, Vicarage Street)! Only 50 tickets are available - last year they went really quickly, this year looks as if it will be similar.
Tickets will be released on 1st September exclusively to mailing list members (sign up here), with a public release a week after. There'll be guests, new songs, old songs, surprises, and a bring-a-tin raffle in aid of our local Wakefield foodbank at St Catherine's.
7pm start, free ticket required (available from September 2018).
