Clara's A Winner At Film Festival   August 16, 2020

TV period drama Clara with an orchestral score by Jessica has won two awards at the prestigious South Coast Film Festival 2020.

The pilot of the Victorian period drama stars Emma Wise as Clara Clarkson, a woman who knows her own mind but is oppressed by her mother's controlling behaviour, society's expectations, and her own fear of what freedom might look like.

The South Coast Film Festival took place in Hastings, UK and Clara won for both Best Short Film and Best Period Drama. Jessica Rowbottom wrote the orchestral score and worked with producer Sarah Leah Cobham and director Anastasia Arsentyeva, to a storyline by Caleb Shepherd.

It is a production of Dream Time Creative in Wakefield, UK.

DTC themselves posted: "A huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in the making of Clara. From all of us here at Dream Time Creative to you, without whom this iconic woman and her fascinating life would have remained forgotten. And a huge thank you to all our followers who have liked and shared the trailers and the posts, we ABSOLUTELY would not be where we are today without your support. And to Clara... relax lady.. you've earned yourself a gin."
